Breeding Angle For Today

Sire El Prado (Grade 1 Winner) from sire Sadler's Wells who is from Northern Dancer and Dam Lady Capulet who only raced 3 times but won the Irish One Thousand Guineas-G1 (IRE) is a great turf sire. He has produced 30% winners on Turf in 2007, 27% in 2009 and 24% this year.

The Racing Week Starts Tomorrow

Hopefully it will be profitable.

Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta

2009 Is definitely the year of the Fillies with two of the top Horses in the Nation being females. The question is who is better and to me it is not even a debate, Rachel Alexandra by a mile. Rachel beats the boys and convincingly at that. She is 7-7 this year and winning for fun. I saw her live at Monmouth for the Haskell and let me tell you this is one special horse. She may be a top 2 or 3 Filly of all time. Zenyatta just the females and only on the west coast, except for 1 race the Apple Blossom at Oaklawn 12 for 12 is impressive but who is she really running against.

I wish they would race each other so the debate could end, so that we could all see how dominate Rachel really is. Zenyatta is a nice Filly, Rachel is a legendary Filly, maybe the best of all time.

That's just my opinion.
